STAR-10R
Brief Description:
STAR-10R™ is a system of Intervention for Prevention of key Dementia symptoms.
It is designed to not only slow down the progression of known symptoms affecting
cognitive and memory alterations in Early-stage Dementia, but also prevent the onset
of further associated symptom development. What makes STAR-10R™ unique as a
non-pharmacological intervention in the management of Dementia is its “preventive”
nature, in that symptoms are addressed BEFORE they occur. Through the Pioneering
of revolutionary principles, and internally developed proprietary methods, AFFECTS has
composed 10 specific ‘elements’ (10R's) that each deal with common signs in those
affected by the onset of Dementia. To our knowledge, no enhancement non-medication
approaches or practices exist that offer anything remotely similar to
STAR-10R™!
Skills Training in the STAR-10R™ Methods and Techniques is a valuable professional
skill-set for anyone working with, or those who support Dementia patients or
residents. It is an essential service integration to current programs of rehabilitative
care in Memory Care units and Rehab Centers, Nursing Homes, Senior Care
